Landscape gardeners work with a variety of materials and design, construct and maintain residential and commercial indoor and outdoor garden spaces.

The horticultural side of landscaping comprises:

  • Preparing and maintaining seedbeds
  • Growing sites
  • Propagation and planting of trees
  • Plant support and protection

The construction side of landscaping comprises:

  • Developing plans and drawings
  • Installing garden structures (walls, fences, barbecues)
  • Constructing gravel and paved areas
