What does a bricklayer do?

Bricklayers work on commercial and residential projects where they lay bricks, masonry, glass or concrete blocks in mortar to build:

  • Interior and exterior walls
  • Partitions
  • Fireplaces
  • Chimneys
  • SmokestacksĀ 
  • Other structures

Bricklayers spend a significant amount of time outdoors and gain extensive experience and insight into the operations of a construction site.
